MOOD INDIGO, the annual cultural festival of IIT BOMBAY is the biggest cultural celebration of the country . With a participation of around 60,000 students from over more than 450 colleges spanning the length and breadth of the nation, Four Days and Four Nights with the euphoric start and jubilant ending collaring every aspect of music, drama, dance, exhibitions, films and competitons, that have a distinct flavor and truly embodies the spirit of the youth.
KK, Shaan, Kailash Kher, Lucky Ali , Jagjit Singh, Pankaj Udhas, Parikrama, Indian Ocean, Hema Malini are a few names from the endless list who made this event the MIGHTIEST CELEBRATION of the year.
MOOD INDIGO in its 36th reincarnation will take place from 26th to 29th December 2007, thus ending the year with great enthusiasm. Mood Indigo is becoming a platform for the convergence of culture around the globe.It started in 1973 with a total budget of Rs. 5,000.
There are a multitude of innovative competitions, in fields as varied as music, dance, dramatics, literary arts, speaking, and fine arts. These competitions form the backbone of MoodI and generate tremendous participation and audience-response.
There are also plenty of other activities for students not interested in competitions. Many informal and fun events, including water sports, take place around the clock, often going on until late at night. There are workshops, plays, films, and dance performances for those interested.
