Mukti is a National level annual technical symposium on Linux and related Free and Open Source Software(FOSS) to be held on January11-13,2008 at NIT Durgapur,West Bengal. It is a unique event of its kind among engineering colleges across India. Students from all over India get an excellent platform to interact with each other and hone their skills in this field Mukti '08 is the continuation of the journey which was started two years back, on the long and winding road of making Linux and Open Source more widely acceptable to the ordinary lay man and the student community in particular. The aim of this event is to enrich the knowledge of the students and encourage them to explore the wide avenues provided by Linux and the Open Source Community. Attractive prizes are there to be won in the various contests being organized by Linux Users' Group, NIT Durgapur over a span of three day event to be held in January next year.There is something on offer for everyone, ranging from the SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION contest for the tech savvy to GAMING contests for pure fun.
