Backwaters, the Annual Management & Cultural Festival organized by Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode to be held during January 11-13,2008, at IIM Kozhikode(Calicut), Kerala, .Backwaters is one of the most highly anticipated management events in the country and B-school students across the country look forward to it each year. Last year's Backwaters saw more than 1000 online participants and 500 students coming down to campus to take part in it. This year the fest is even bigger than ever before with corporate as well as participation from foreign management students.
The flagship event of Backwaters is Reliance White Knight, in which participants have to come up with a business plan based on the theme of 'Urban Development which will help solve teething problems of urban India.
