The Chemical Engineering Association of NIT Trichy plays host to Alchemy '08 on 7th & 8th March, 2008.Alchemy - Once the mystic & esoteric science which sought out the "philosopher's stone" in the attempt to transmute lesser metals to gold, and the creation of a "panacea" - a remedy that supposedly would cure all diseases and prolong life indefinitely, and now the technical symposium of the Chemical Engineering Department of NIT Trichy organized entirely by our students, beginning from the stage of conception to execution, management of events, with active guidance from the faculty.
Started a decade and a half ago to promote and reward the essence of chemical engineering, Alchemy now provides students with the stage to showcase their talents in a plethora of events and gain valuable insight through industrial exposure.
Alchemy is the meeting place for academics and industry, seeing participation of students from various engineering colleges across the country presenting their theoretical and practical work, to a wide ranging audience of industrialists, academicians and the student community.
